Originally a castle and estate, Keukenhof has existed as Spring Park Keukenhof since 1949. By now the park and its gardens are known worldwide. Keukenhof is located in the bulb region near Lisse, near Haarlem and Amsterdam. Many flower bulbs are grown in this region.

The Keukenhof is a seasonal park; it is open only a few months a year. In 2020, De Keukenhof will be open from March 21 to May 10. It may still be cold then, so bring warm clothing.
